Catholic Prayer Request
Rules and Regulations
No anti Catholic material will be tolerated. Postings will be deleted and "posters" will be banned.
No Vulgar language will be tolerated in any of the forums.
Users are not allowed to "challenge" other users comments in the prayer request's section. For example: A posting that mentions something that you may not agree with, like a form of prayer (praying to saints etc.).
DO NOT communicate with the board administrator via postings. If you have questions or comments for the board administrator, they can be emailed to: askus@catholicprayerrequest.com
Please do not create a posting in a forum advising a user to look in another forum for something; unless it's absolutely necessary.
Solicitations for money via prayer postings are not allowed, and will be deleted upon their discovery. Although many people are sincere in their need for money, many are not. Often times churches, religious organizations, etc. are targeted by scammers trying to ask for money, when in fact they are not sincere in their need. This of course happens because most Christians are giving and want to help. Consequently this fact sometimes leads to them being taken advantage of. Don't be fooled by elaborate and articulate postings asking for money. If the person is sincere, your prayer alone will be of great assistance to them.
In an attempt to keep the different forums "tidy", please try to put postings in there proper categories. For example, only prayer requests should go in the prayer request forum. There are five different forums. Listed below is each forum and an example of what should be included in each on of them:
Prayer Request Forum: Obviously this includes any and all prayer requests that you want the community to see and pray for. Responses to prayer requests are also welcome and encouraged. An example of a prayer request may be, "please pray for my sister who is going to have surgery tomorrow". It should be noted that there is no limit to what you can type in a prayer request, so please, share what ever you need to. Responses to prayer requests can include anything you feel will be of benefit to the original poster.
The Good News Forum: The Prayer Request section of this website often contains material that is, for lack of better terms, "gloomy". In contrast we wanted a section that was uplifting to the reader. In this section we would like to hear the Good news in your life. Share with us prayers that have been answered. Perhaps the very prayers that you posted on this website. Share with us the miracles in your lives and those of your friends. We would also like to hear any good witness stories. Share with us the good news of how God has worked in your life. Tell us how the Catholic faith has made a difference in your life.
The Inspirational Forum: In this section users can post any inspirational material they would like to share with the community. This might include, Bible scripture, inspirational story's, prayers, etc.
The Formal Discussion Forum: This forum is designed to be an open dialogue between you and the whole world. Discuss what ever is on your mind as it relates to your Catholic faith. Feel free to post questions and wait for feedback, or give feedback to someone else's posting. Discussion forum's are also great places to debate. Please note that The Open Forum is not a place to talk to each other back and forth about trivial things. Again, it is a place to raise discussion about faith or to ask questions, and to debate issues. An example of a posting in this forum may be, "Is it wrong to marry someone who is not a Christian?" or "Could someone tell me the scripture verses which talk about going to a priest (Penance) to ask for the forgiveness of sins? I would need the verses to share with someone. thanks".
The Chit-Chat Forum: The Chit-Chat forum is designed to offer you, the user, a place to talk to each other about anything you want that may be non related to the site, or faith. This is the section where you may post anything "trivial". An example of an entry in this forum may be, "Does anyone know where Johnny has been lately, I haven't seen any postings from him lately?", or "Can anyone tell me a good place on the web to get religious materials, like jewelry for cheap?"
The operator of this website will keep close tabs on the proper placement of postings. If an inspirational item is located in the prayer requests, it will be moved to the inspirational forum, and vice versa of course. Please try to post your entry's in the appropriate forum. This will create less work for the administrator. If a user consistently posts in the wrong forum, they may be banned from the website (this can be done electronically as the website knows computer addresses (IP-addresses) of the poster). This would only occur after excessive abuse and being told not to.
The owner of this website reserves the right to move, modify, or delete any posting as seen fit by the administrator.
The owner of this website is not responsible for anything that is said on this website by a user. Nor is he responsible for any exchanges of conversation in the forums between users.
